Microsoft Search

Microsoft Search is available now. You can start using it immediately.

You can access it via:

• The Search tab in the Microsoft 365 Copilot panel (left side panel in your browser or Copilot app), or
• Directly via the link: https://m365.cloud.microsoft/search/.

We recommend bookmarking this link or setting it as your default search engine for UQ-related queries.

Please note, there is also a search function in Microsoft Teams and the web versions of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint that appears to work in a similar way. These search results return relevant results for these apps. Microsoft Search will ultimately be the most comprehensive place to search across the whole UQ Microsoft 365 environment, so it is best to start using it directly.

Search results are personalised and secure. You’ll only see information you already have permission to access, such as:

• Files you created or that were shared with you
• Content from SharePoint sites and Teams you belong to
• Public staff-wide UQ content like HR forms and policies.

You will not see:

• Other people’s private or restricted content
• Anything from outside your Microsoft access permissions

This ensures information is surfaced securely and appropriately.
