What was the ECPS?
In operation between 2006 and 2024, the Electronic Course Profile System (ECPS) was an integrated and distributed web-based system for developing, delivering and archiving all course profiles at the University of Queensland. It drew on existing authoritative data sources, such as SI-net, with course coordinators and designers providing the teaching and learning information directly into the system. It aimed to produce consistent course profiles across the University, while also providing enough flexibility to accommodate the variety of teaching and administrative practices in the Faculties and Schools.
The ECPS integrated with mySI-net, Programs and Courses and Blackboard (Learn.UQ) to provide different ways for enrolled students and the public to access course profiles.
The ECPS was replaced by Jac after Semester 1 2024.
