UQ researchers who have external ethics approval for their project must submit the external notification of approval and all approved documentation to obtain UQ ethics approval.

NOTE: For human ethics only ethics ratification is required where:

  1. UQ staff member is a principal investigator
  2. UQ is sponsor of the research
  3. UQ student is part of research team for HDR purposes
  4. UQ site is utilised

If none of these conditions apply, the researcher needs to only register the project. For registration purposes you must submit the external notification of approval, but submission of approved documents may not be required.

NOTE: If you are submitting an amendment for a project that has been ratified by UQ please follow instructions for Apply for amendment.
