Casual Appointment (Professional) Request

To ensure that your appointment is progressed efficiently it is critical to understand how casual appointments at the University are onboarded from start (off system), to finish (onboarded in Workday).

Casual Appointments Request Process Flow:

4. Offer Issued and Accepted

Offer Issued

Once working rights have been confirmed, the Casual Appointments team will issue an Offer of Appointment through the applicant’s Candidate Profile. This will be received by candidates in different ways depending on whether they are Internal/External to the University.

  • Internal – Offer of Appointment is sent via the Workday Inbox. Continuing, Fixed-Term, Casual and HDR Students will all receive their contract via this method.
  • External – Offer of Appointment is sent to their nominated personal email address to accept.
Offer Accepted

Once accepted by the candidate (via their Candidate Profile or Workday Inbox), the Casual Appointments team will set the appointment to Ready to Hire.
